Shout out to Ruth Domber and 10 for 10/10 Optics!
I’ve been to 10/10 Optics before... several times. Knowledgeable staff, good vibe, classy
frames. I didn’t plan to walk there – was on the way to an event. It was a late Tuesday afternoon and
muggy in Manhattan. Looking exhausted I hauled myself into the store at the NE corner of Madison
Park. "Water? Something more stimulating?" (They asked pointing to the adult beverages on the
counter.) "Nah, thanks. Need new glasses." (I replied - exhausted.)
It was like magic! In a short time, they had me laughing, trying on frames and getting back my mojo. But I still missing that extra pop to get me in the mood for my event. Out of the back room came Ruth Domber to the rescue! She brought
out her makeup bag, and with a dab here and a brush of color there, she made me look gorgeous!! Not
only did I find the "perfect" frames and felt great, I made a great
connection and maybe a new friend.
10/10 OPTICS is worth the walk and who knows, you might make a new friend!

People, here is the answer @1010optics in NYC - this is the ONLY place I buy eyewear, this is the ONLY place that knows that eyewear I need to wear - for over 20 years (Lord have mercy!) they have been my eyewear purveyors of choice. I would give them a royal warrant if I had one.

I have never been more excited about getting glasses. Wow, what a difference a pair of glasses makes especially when custom designed. Ruth and Dr. Rozenberg recommended that I get the new lens that lets you read computers which may require a different prescription than the prescription for just reading. The one lens is designed for both and there is no telltale sign visually to notice.
An amazing pair of glasses that I will take with me everywhere. Thank you 1010 Optics for not only helping me look great but also for protecting my eyes the right way.

I cannot tell you how many times people have gone crazy over my glasses and want to get a pair. I have given out your website to see if they can get them. All the cashiers at the Publix where I shop love them and have people come over to their counter to look at them. All the musicians who see them are flipped! When I was on the recent cruise I don't know how many people thought they were so cool...
One musician said he thought he saw something similar in Paris but not in US. In a restaurant in St Pete someone came over to my table to look at them and said she couldn't help staring at me and had to come over. My three pharmacists all love them. What a hit they are!!!

OK— I gotta be honest.
Never did I think that anyone needs more than one pair of frames. You wear them and that’s it until the next ones.
When you started pontificating about this pair and that pair depending on the location, event (and mood) — I thought you had be have been sipping from one of those bottles behind the counter.
However, I must admit you’re right. It really is a most meaningful accessory and allows me to thank you anew over and over again for everything.

While Q and I were enjoying our easy afternoon getting an eye exam for Q and picking out glasses, we reminisced about all the years we have been going to 1010 and getting Ruth's wonderful help in selecting our glasses. One year, my mother came along and Ruth helped her pick out her all time favorite frames. Lo and behold, she moved to Florida but was NEVER satisfied with any new pair of glasses she got because they did not match up to Ruth's expertise. When she passed away at the age of 93, she still had her favorite frames - which were broken and could not be repaired one more time!
