Since our practice opened in 1979, our co-founder, Ruth Domber, has remained dedicated to getting to know each patient and providing them with one-of-a-kind frames that fit them to a T. As a longtime proponent of the Flatiron district, she was thrilled to chat with The Flatiron/23rd Street Partnership about her passion for eyewear and the story of 10/10 Optics.
The Flatiron/23rd Street Partnership was founded in 2006 with one goal in mind: enhance the Flatiron district’s quality of life. Since their inception, this nonprofit organization has carried out this mission in various ways, such as leading area improvement projects and marketing the diverse businesses that this vibrant, historic district has to offer — including 10/10 Optics!
In the interview, Ruth dives into her love for independent eyewear and how she got started in the optical industry. She also discusses what sets 10/10 Optics apart from other optometry practices and chain stores, as well as the art of curating eyewear for each customer’s unique style and vision needs.
