Elsa Sheerer, O.D. New York Optometrist
Dr. Elsa Sheerer graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Humanities prior to completing her Doctor of Optometry degree from SUNY College of Optometry in 2015. She then completed her residency training in pediatric optometry at SUNY College of Optometry and Woodhull Medical Center in Brooklyn. She maintains a faculty position at Woodhull Medical Center while training optometry students and residents.
Dr. Sheerer is involved with local and state optometric associations. In fact, she was honored to receive an award from the New York Optometric State Association for Excellent Communication in September 2021.
Dr. Sheerer is passionate about providing patient-centered care to optimize vision and eye health. She is committed to prescribing the best vision products for all ages including contact lenses, ortho-keratology and ophthalmic lenses. She is particularly interested in pediatric eye care and providing myopia management to her youngest patients. Dr. Sheerer enjoys weekend getaways, museum-going, catching sporting events, and arts activities in New York City.
